AN AMBASSADORIAL MEETING OF YOUNG AMBASSADORS HAS BEEN HELD IN TBILISI
On 12 July 2024, Young Ambassadors Ambassadorial 2024 took place in Tbilisi.
The event featured addresses from Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Vladimer Konstantinidi, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Ruslan Abashidze, and Ketevan Gorgoshidze, project manager of the International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
During the working sessions, participants discussed Georgia's foreign priorities, its role in international relations, public diplomacy, and migration issues.
Deputy Minister Konstantinidi spoke to the young ambassadors about the importance of the programme and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' involvement in the project.
The young ambassadors, in turn, presented their own initiatives and action plans for the activities they aim to implement.
The "Be a Young Ambassador of Your Country" program is implemented through the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and with the support of the ICMPD. The program aims to establish institutional relations with Georgian youth living abroad, organize cultural, educational, and sports events for young people, create a network of young foreign friends of Georgia, encourage the return of highly qualified young professionals to their homeland, and promote Georgia in their respective countries.
