THE GEORGIAN DELEGATION HAS PARTICIPATED IN A PANEL DISCUSSION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE 32ND KARPACZ ECONOMIC FORUM

On 6 September 2023, within the framework of the 32nd Karpacz Economic Forum in the Republic of Poland, the Georgian delegation took part in a panel discussion.
 
The main speakers from the Georgian side were the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Vakhtang Tsintsadze, while from the Polish side, the deputy chairmen of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Seimas participated in the discussion panel: Barbara Bartus and Pavel Koval. The panel was moderated by the head of "Business Insider Georgia", Giorgi Abashishvili.
 
In the speeches of the Georgian delegation, emphasis was placed on the historical relations between Georgia and Poland and successful cooperation in various fields. During the panel discussion, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs paid special attention to the review of the European integration agenda of Georgia, the Deputy Minister spoke in detail about how Georgia fulfills the recommendations of the European Commission. Special attention was paid to the important transit function of the country and in this regard the important infrastructural projects in Georgia and the economic potential of the country.

The deputy minister spoke about Georgia's involvement in the Black Sea submarine cable project, which is another important step towards  diversification of energy sources. At the meeting, the importance of the support of Western partners, including Poland, for Georgia’s path to European integration was emphasized. Discussions focused on the Georgian side’s initiatives in the direction of strengthening the physical and sectoral integration with the European Union. The Polish side once again confirmed its support for Georgia’s European integration and positively evaluated the efforts made in this direction.
